Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory are in many ways synonymous. It is a subject that companies around the world are discussing, analyzing and working to implement…food production, paper and plastics factories, cars, airplanes…and of course electronics and SMT.
Rarely is a true Industry 4.0 Smart Factory started as a greenfield factory or from a clean sheet of paper. It is usually a factory that is already in place and running for many years. Moving that existing factory towards automation and Industry 4.0 can be seen as a large puzzle where some elements are already in place, others to be added or at least considered.
This presentation will help identify those pieces of the puzzle and what the final picture could look like.
