During the COVID-19 Pandemic, many engineers are forced to work at home without the availability of an anechoic chamber. Listen have re-introduced an algorithm for their SoundCheck software that allows engineers to accurately measure speaker response by splicing the near-field bass response with a time windowed far field response. Results are extremely accurate. The algorithm is based on an AES paper co-written by Steve Temme of Listen Inc. www.listeninc.com
This Month’s Voice Coil Magazine features an article explaining the concept, and proving the results through test: https://audioxpress.com/page/Voice-Coil-Magazine
